International Jewellery London

Part of Reed Exhibitions, International Jewellery London is the UKs foremost premier, jewellery focused event. Held each year at Earl’s Court, the show is viewed as a key event in the industry calendar - not just from a buying and selling perspective, but also for business networking and as a platform for the unveiling of the latest trends and designs.

We have worked with IJL for seven years, implementing a proactive marketing support programme designed to build UK and international awareness and profile for the show.

A key objective of our programme is to project IJL as an event which displays the very best of jewellery design talent, attracting high profile buyers and retailers. We run the Press Office at the event, and promote the show through the trade jewellery, fashion, events and marketing press. We also promote the show’s portfolio of exhibitors through the consumer media, due to our strong relationships with leading consumer journalists.

We created two initiatives which directly involve key editors to further enhance the show: the Bright Young Gems feature and Editor’s Choice. Bright Young Gems sees a panel of editors from titles such as The Daily Telegraph, Glamour, Wallpaper and the Financial Times nominating the best in new, upcoming talent, and these designers are launched at IJL with the panel in attendance. Editor’s Choice is another show highlight, with freelance luxury journalist Claire Adler selecting her pick of the best around the show, providing a valuable insight for visitors.

We work so closely with the IJL marketing team that we are seen as part of the core team, and provide advice and support in many areas – one example is the high profile seminar programme. As a result of our work, leading figures in the industry speak at the show - ranging from designers such as celebrity favourite Stephen Webster, to senior directors from companies such as Boodles and Kabiri, to journalists and experts.

Together with the marketing team, we have celebrated the show going from strength to strength, with a strong attendance from the consumer and trade press, as well as excellent coverage year-round.
